Craig McPhie is currently Director of Business Development at Pars Foods Limited and brings more than 40 years of experience within the baking and food production industry. Beginning his career as an apprentice baker, he progressed to become owner of the family business, McPhies Craft Bakers.

A fully qualified Master Baker and Confectioner, Craig has developed extensive expertise across bakery production, recipe development, food manufacturing, and the ingredient supply sector. His career has combined hands-on operational knowledge with significant strategic and leadership experience across the wider baking industry.

Craig has held a number of senior governance and board-level positions throughout his career. He was closely involved with BAKO for many years, initially as a customer before later serving as a Non-Executive Director and ultimately Chairman.

Appointed to the board at Scottish Bakers Association in 1992, Craig went on to serve as President of the association from 2016 to 2018, proudly following in his father’s footsteps in holding the position. During this period, he also stepped in as Acting Chief Executive Officer for almost 12 months while the organisation undertook the recruitment process for a new CEO.

In recognition of his contribution to the industry, Craig was awarded the honour of Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Bakers in 2018, alongside Life Membership of Scottish Bakers.

With extensive experience in board leadership and chairmanship roles, Craig remains passionate about supporting the future development of the Scottish baking industry. He is committed to helping ensure that Scottish Bakers continues to provide valuable guidance, innovation, and support to businesses across the sector for years to come.
